Happy 2008!

Hi everyone! I haven't been blogging for a while.. feeling lazy as usual ehehehe. What I have been doing is play and watch Spiderman with my son...and draw some spider, apple, balloons etc with him. Right now, I am watching a marathon of Law & Order CI.. yesterday it was SVU. :) Hubby is still not here.. hopefully he will be able to make it home later (before new year comes). Hope we all have a fruitful and positive 2008! Have fun!

Last Sunday, my husband and I had a petty quarrel about printer inks. Why? Because he asked me to print out a portion of an online receipt, which I did. One Problem Solved

I am worried with my son not eating so much because he's become very picky. I don't know why, maybe it's just another stage of his life. I've been trying to give him vitamins like the chewables as his doctor recommended but he didn't want it. I guess the taste is awful (but I don't have problems giving him liquid medicines like cough or cold medicine... strange huh). So I just left it alone for a while. However, I get so worried everyday because he'd eat just a little bit here and there and it gets frustrating when I'm trying to feed him healthy foods and he didn't want it. Recently, my pharmacy tech friend suggested gummy bear vitamins, so when I went to Walmart I checked it out and got him one... woh! Surprisingly, he liked it! And he thought it's just a candy that he wants more than one :D I hope it will really suppliment the vitamins he needs while he's in this picky eating stage.

I got lucky with this one. Actually, I used my webcam (hubby's gift) to capture this and he has a huge smile on his face because he's looking at himself on the computer monitor and trying to make faces :D

Diet Help

Since I gave birth I had a hard time maintaining my weight. It’s been up and down, up and down for quite a while now. I still remember when I was kid my mother used to get angry because I was skinny even if I always eat like there‘s no tomorrow. She said, I should eat a little bit more coz she didn’t want our neighbors to think that she’s not feeding me right. Christmas Day

Christmas morning came...I woke up at 6 a.m. to start preparing things and cooked early... After that hubby and Lionel got up started digging for the gifts under the tree.. so I put on my sweater and pants and joined them. So we went on and we just left Lansing and got lost already hahahah! Geez! Che really needs a GPS :D She passed the wrong exit. We Made It There And Back Part I

Yesterday, we didn't almost make it to Rockford, coz first off, my friend is so late that my hubby is changing his mind in letting us go. He said it's getting dark outside and he didn't want us to travel by ourselves with a little kid. Although he's willing to drive us to Rockford and he'll just stay in a hotel. I don't want him to do that because I know that he's very very tired. It's so inconsiderate of me to give him all that kind of hassle. So I just told him that if Che will not call me at 4:00 p.m. I will just cancel the trip and re-schedule it some other time. Fortunately, Che called at 3:37 so we went on. To be continued...

We normally take down our Christmas lights just right after New Year. We are so used to that and sometimes my husband would shake his head if he sees that there are still Christmas lights hanging in some of our neighbors’ houses even if its in the mid-June already. He’d comment, “I think our neighbor forgot to take down their lights”. I said what’s wrong with that? It still looks nice even if its not Christmas, isn’t it?

If it’s just me I will leave it as it is and use it as my night light. They are decorative lights so it doesn’t have to be just Christmas. Yes, I think it is. Hopefully Kulet'z runny nose is gone by tomorrow so we can really go to Rockford to see my friend Sha. Pretty Excited

TGIF!!! Yesterday my friend Che brought an idea of visiting our friend Sha in Rockford (actually it's in Loves Park-2 hour drive) this weekend. I got so excited because I haven't seen her in years! The last time I saw her was on her baby shower. That was three years ago to be exact. I really like the idea but the problem is if hubby would let us go. So I told him about it last night and he said "Sure you could"... but there's a big BUT...he said, check the weather first...I did... tomorrow it's gonna be in the 40's with a bit rainshower, I guess that's not bad for a December. So will see how it goes, I hope Che won't change her mind coz she'll be the one driving :D

Where Will You Be On Christmas/New Year?

I asked that because every year we just celebrate Christmas and New Year at home. Just the three of us, sometimes we'd invite my MIL but most of the time she's out-of-the-state.

I miss celebrating these holidays just like we do in the Philippines. Every year, Christmas eve is celebrated at home with the family, then on the 25th we'd have dinner at my uncle's house (my mother's sibling). The whole clan is there. Chit-chat, food, videoke, jokes everywhere! While on New Year's eve, same.. it's celebrated at home (my mother didn't want us to leave the house at this time coz she said, we'll be out of the house for the whole year haahahah!) But on the 1st of Jan. we can go wherever we want, so we'd go out with friends.

While here, it's totally different. So quiet.. maybe because I don't have a lot of friends nor my husband doesn't have a big family either. What about you?

It's Wednesday folks! How are you all doing? I had the chance to sleep good last night. No data entry work, no opps to do. Set the alarm at 6 a.m. and as usual just turned it off then went back to bed. Woke op at 10 p.m. and all opps are gone! I want to go out today to do a little more shopping but unfortunately, MIL is busy and so as my friend. I don't wanna take a cab coz it's too much of a hassle for me and the little boy. Will just wait whenever there's a chance. I'll just probably sleep some more or do some online shopping :D

I was busy doing some data entry and then 4 o'clock news came. Was a bit shocked when I heard the news about a newborn baby were dumped in a dumpster?!? Geez, I know life nowadays is really hard for everybody, but I don't understand why some can do that. This is the second time that I heard of a baby being dumped in a dumpster in some alley. Luckily the baby was alive when 4 skateboarding teenagers found the baby girl crying inside a garbage bin. wew! poor baby.

Busy Monday

The picture below were taken Saturday afternoon. It was just snowing for a little while that's why we still don't have the 10 inches of snow ther. :D He enjoyed it so much because as I have mentioned in my other blog (I think :D) that that was his first time :)

I posted some pictures on my friendster today and read a few posts from the bulletin board. This one happen to catch my attention. At first I thought it's just some of thouse "BS" chain letter/posts that if you don't repost will scare you that something bad will happen to you or your loved ones. But I opened it anyway...thankful that I did :) I'm not sure who originally posted it buy it says Skull.. whoever he/she is, thanks! Would you agree that this is true?
