I’d say that one of the celebrities that I admire these days is the ever gorgeous Tyra Banks. I love the fact the she has a lively personality, has the confidence of no matter what situation she‘s in. She can wear a pair of jeans and shirt and still look pretty (that’s why she’s one of the top models around the world). Also, I admire her for believing that curvy women are gorgeous! I couldn’t agree more. I am one of those curvy women. I might be curvy but my fashion sense is still there. I love to wear comfortable clothing (say my fave pair of Dockers pants and shirt) but still look pretty neat and decent. I am not too conservative nor too revealing. I am kinda in the middle of it.

Don't Panic !

Hey people don't panic, I am still here. Geez! It's been a while since I updated this blog. Sorry about that. Was just busy with other stuff. No blogging opps so I concentrated on my data entry job. By the way, I am now a fully pledged amgirl. I was sworn in last April 29th. I posted some photos on my Sweet Escape blog. It's been quite a while since I last posted anything worth reading here huh? :) Sorry, not much to write about. Nothing exciting is happening in this household ehehehe. The weather is getting pretty nice, although I have heard in the news that it'll get cold again and a chance of snow is a possible. Isn't that crazy! Snow in April? Not Busy But...

Bedroom Oasis

Bedroom is supposed to be the most relaxing part of the house. Like an oasis if you will, cause this is where we release all our stress from working all day. However, in my house it isn’t. Why? Because we have television here, my computer is also here which I use all night long. So my hubby is complaining. He can’t relax at night cause all he hears is the tic-tac of my keyboard. He said he’ll be getting a new BEDROOM FURNITURE and gonna transform our basement to his own little get-away. I can’t wait for him to do that actually. I am more of a traditional person, but hubby is into contemporary designs, so I guess he’ll be getting a bed like this one:

Birth Announcements

The one thing that I didn’t experience when I was pregnant was to have a baby shower. I have a few friends and my hubby’s family is not that huge either so I didn’t insist on having one even my friends are volunteering in organizing it. And when I gave birth I didn’t give out photo birth announcements either. Now I felt bad about it. I guess I was so overwhelmed being a mommy at that time. I am just thankful that my friends who are also mommies and soon to be mommies now never forget me in sending baby shower invitations and photo birth announcements, which I truly appreciate. I just actually received one from our friends in Minnesota. They had a cute baby girl. They sent me a birth announcement similar to this one:

The Bird Died !

Not birdie, the blue parakeet.. not that one.. but the yellow parakeet that hubby just bought one or two weeks ago. I don't know what happen. Last Wednesday I checked on it and they are still both so alive. I didn't check 'em yesterday coz I was out almost all day. Then today, I saw the yellow bird lifeless.. It looks like they had a fight and since the blue bird is bigger I guess she beat up the yellow one. :(

ICE Your Phone

In this modern society, I think cellphones have become one of the necessities for most individuals. With it, we’re able to keep in touch with our family, friends and to some, with their business associates. It’s just a perfect way to stay connected and has this feeling of being secured when you have one specially in case of emergency.

However, we can add another good use of our cellphones. It is called ICE your phone. You might ask what do I mean by that. ICE stands for In Case Of Emergency. How it works: First off, you need to choose a responsible person to be your ICE contact, then inform them that you chose them, give them all the info about you i.e. your medications, allergies, doctors etc. Then add them to your cellular’s phone book, then simply apply the ICE sticker to your cellphone. The point of the ICE sticker is to let the rescuers, doctors, paramedics or police officers know that it is ok to check your cellphone and reach the person that you wanted to be contacted in case you were in an accident or other emergency. How Can You Feel ?

How can you feel the spirit of the almost over Holy Week when it is still snowing in Chicagoland? Yep it snowed last night for a little while and is still snowing at this time while writing this entry. At some part of Illinois, they got at least 9-10 inches of snow and I heard that 400 flights in O'hare airport has been cancelled. Wew! Spring in Chicago huh :) We're getting there though.
